What we do
We provide housing and support to young people who leave Local Authority Care.
The young people are between 16 – 25 years old and have normally been in LA care prior to joining us.
Our young people
Young people are normally referred to us because they are ready to make the transition from dependence to Independence. They have often evidenced during their time in care that they are now ready to live independently in their own homes but with the helping hand of a My Life Key Worker.
The young people will remain with us until such time as they can access council housing or private rented accommodation.
The Young Person’s Key Worker will visit them at least once a week in their flat to ensure that they are looking after themselves and the property.
Why we need you
Our business depends on being able to source property from Agents and Landlords so we have to build good, positive relationships.
Young people that are in ‘care’ are simply a cross section of society.
They are not in care because they have done anything wrong. They are normally in care because, for one reason or another, their parents have not been able to parent them to a ‘good enough’ standard.
Without housing, these young people are once again denied the opportunity to aspire for something better.
What we can offer you
Our property management department has over fifty years of combined experience, ensuring that we have the highest standards.
Our commitment to our Landlords is to complete weekly Health and Safety checks on the property.
We are committed to returning properties to Landlords in the condition we took them (allowing for reasonable wear and tear).
